The Kentucky Supreme Court will be issuing written decisions this coming January 21. It will include their pointless quest to seize 141 domain names from internet gambling such as poker. They have been pointing this for a very long time already and now the decision could soon come to end.

In 2008, the crusade began under the urging of Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. It includes a lawsuit threat to different online poker sites including the Pokerstars.com and the FullTiltPoker.com that were considered poker giants.

Even though Kentucky does not have any law that would make Internet poker sites illegal, Franklin Country Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate sided with the State. However, Joe Brennan Jr., Chairman of the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association overturned his ruling and has represented the gambling sites.

Kentucky lawyers made a perplexing rule last December by claiming that are going to add US citizens names in the lawsuit which can be very irrelevant to the case. Unfortunately, they refused to give specific names.

Poker sites will still continue to operate since this lawsuit remains pointless for they can continue without their domain names. Full Tilt Poker made a move as a precaution by buying fulltilt.com.

The issue will be brought up in the U.S. Supreme Court if denied by the Kentucky Supreme Court but this can be pointless and it does not seem to be a lawsuit when it comes to a higher court.
