Antonius Owns another Weekend for $560k

Patrik Antonius went on with his all-out assault on the Full Tilt high stakes games while an old favorite returned to the virtual felt on the 24th.

Antonius only played 388 hands but he still managed to tear up Gus Hansen in heads-up $300/$600 PLO and destroy another 6-Max $300/$600 PLO session that included NoPasaran, skjervoy, LokoIsBack and FinnishNightmre.

Since Full Tilt officially left the U.S. market, Antonius has without doubt been the best player on the site and is up nearly $1.5 million in that time span.

Perhaps a bigger shock this weekend was the return of XWINK. The mysterious online player, who is rumored to be from Canada, played over 6,000 hands of high stakes PLO this weekend and won $263k.

Be part of one of the largest online poker rooms today, visit Full Tilt Poker now.

XWINK is reputed for spinning his bankroll up from a few thousand to over a million and then crashing back down.
Ilari Sahamies was another one of the huge winners that weekend, pulling in $137k.

“DrugsOrMe” Wins Big

Between Tuesday and Thursday last week, the action at the Full Tilt Poker high-stakes tables saw a flurry of action, with the majority of it coming on the last day of the period. Gus Hansen, who has been on the go over the past couple of weeks, was nowhere to be found, but that didn’t stop some big names from taking part of the action. Both David Oppenheim (+$121,939.80) plus Scott “UrnotINdanger2” Palmer (+$120,471.30) booked solid wins. On the other side, four players (Di “Urindanger” Dang, Jared “harrington25” Bleznick, tibster24 and Brian “sbrugby” Townsend) lost over $100k each throughout the three-day stretch.

At the $200/$400 tables, a six-handed match, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies ($115,057) was under the gun and raised to $1,400. “DrugsOrMe” ($64,685) reraised to $4,800 on the button, with Scott “UrnotINdanger2” Palmer ($93,041), who was in the big blind, made it $16,000 to go. Sahamies got out of the way and DrugsOrMe made the call. Palmer nabbed $33,597 pot and added to his midweek total.
